Key Drivers

India’s internet penetration is increasing at an exponential rate.

India had 622 million active internet users in 2020, according to the IAMAI-Kantar ICUBE 2020 report. Due to rising adoption rates in rural India, this figure is predicted to rise by 45 percent to 900 million by 2025. India’s small towns account for two out of every five active internet users. The urban population accounts for 67% of active internet users.
